PADI Assistant Instructor on Bali: your next step as a Divemaster

If you are already a PADI divemaster and keen to continue your professional dive adventure, the PADI Assistant Instructor course at Joe's Gone Diving on Bali might be for you. Assisting and teaching PADI courses allows you to share the love of the underwater world with other people while you are doing what you love. Instructors and Assistant Instructors of PADI are the world elite when it comes down to scuba diving training. It doesn't come easy, it will need hard work and commitment. But you will be rewarded, once certified you can show and teach others the wonders of our underwater world, while transforming their lives you are enriching yours. Seeing the smile of your future students after completing a course will be one of the greatest thing you ever experienced.

PADI IDC courses in Bali IndonesiaAfter completion of the course you will receive your Assistant Instructor qualification. Which is nearly half of an Open Water Scuba Instructor, so whenever you ready to take the next step don't worry you already half way there.


Who can join

  • Minimum age: 18 years old
  • Certification: PADI Divemaster
  • Be certified as a diver for at least six months
  • Have logged 60 dives that include experience in night, deep and navigation
  • Completed CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months
  • Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within the past 12 months
  • Documentation of qualifying certifications for entry level, advanced, rescue and leadership level.


Course Overview

What will you learn?

Over a minimum of four days, the PADI Course Director or Staff Instructor teaches you to assist on all PADI core courses. You’ll be able to help organize and present information, conduct skill development sessions and assist to control open water dives. Basically, you become a better public speaker and get really good at demonstrating skills while watching out for student diver safety.

  • PADI Standards and Procedures for courses you can teach, with in water workshops
  • Learning, Instruction and the PADI System
  • Risk Management and Diver Safety
  • The Business of Diving and your role as an instructor
  • Marketing Diving and Sales Counseling
  • Teaching and presenting in the classroom
  • Teaching in confined water(Pool)
  • Teaching in Open Water
