In this 2-day course you learn techniques to dive wrecks safely using responsible wreck diving practices.

Who can join: Minimum certification needed: PADI Adventure Diver Certificate. Minimum age: 15 years old

Course Description

 There are many different types of wrecks to explore on this planet, some are protected by laws that guard their historical and cultural significance. Your PADI dive training starts by reviewing guidelines for researching and respecting wrecks. During 4 dives spread out over 2 days, you’ll learn:

  • Safety considerations for navigating and exploring wrecks
  • Surveying and mapping a wreck
  • Using penetration lines and reels to guide exploration
  • Techniques to avoid kicking up silt or disturbing the wreck and its inhabitants

Before the start of the course you will study the PADI Wreck Diver manual.


After successfully finishing your course you will receive the PADI Wreck Diver certificate. This PADI specialty counts towards your Master Scuba Diver Rating and can also count as an adventure dive for your PADI Advanced Open Water course.
