Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and the rise of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever. The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course gets you going quickly with today’s modern digital equipment, whether you use a point-and-shoot snap camera or a sophisticated D-SLR like the pros. The marine life on Bali is pretty spectacular, so a great place to learn how to use a digital underwater camera.
Depth: depending on certification
Duration: 1 day, 2 dives
Who can join: Minimum certification needed: PADI Open Water Diver Certificate (or qualifying certification from another training organization). Minimum age: 10 years old
In this one day course, you will learn how to choose the right underwater camera system for you, the PADI SEA method for getting great shots quickly and the three primary principles for good underwater photos.
The course consists of a theoretical and a practical part. For the theory part you will get a manual to study in your own time before the start of the course or you can already prepare all theory from home with PADI eLearning. If you study with the manual, you will need to prepare the knowledge reviews and will go over these with your instructor during your course. There is no exam for the PADI Digital Underwater Photography course.
For the practical part you will make 2 dives on some of the beautiful Bali reefs. During the dives you will practise with the use of a digital underwater camera. Afterwards you will review your photos together with your instructor and get some tips on improvements.
After successfully finishing your course you will receive the PADI Digital Underwater Photography certificate. This PADI specialty counts towards your Master Scuba Diver Rating and can also count as an adventure dive for your PADI Advanced Open Water course.
Did you know you can already prepare all your dive theory from home with PADI eLearning?
