Start with the fun from home: take PADI eLearning

Did you know PADI offers eLearning for most PADI courses? This means you can already start with the dive fun straight away at home, by doing the theory for your course online.

PADI eLearning is available for all PADI’s core courses: PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced, PADI Rescue Diver, PADI Divemaster and PADI Instructor Development Courses (IDC).

It will save you time if you have completed all your theory via PADI eLearning in advance. And for the Open Water, Advanced and Rescue Diver course, it also means you can completely focus on the practical part of the course and don’t have to worry about theory any more here on Bali.

For the PADI Open Water and PADI Rescue Diver course PADI offers two options: an online version that you can complete on your PC or laptop and an offline version that you can review on your smart phone or tablet. The offline version only works on an Apple and on Android systems. You need to be online to download the program, but can then complete everything offline. Ideal when you are travelling.

You can either purchase eLearning yourself through PADI or via us. If you purchase it through PADI, make sure you affiliate with our dive center when signing up as it entitles you to a discount on the practical part of the course.

If you would like to purchase it yourself, you can use the following link to make sure you are affiliated with us: http://goo.gl/MgATFH

It is often cheaper if you purchase it through Joe’s Gone Diving, but it will depend on the country you are from.

The PADI eLearning programs are interactive and you can stop and continue at any time. It will vary per program how much time it takes, but on average assume it will take 10-12 hours to complete.

Once you have completed your eLearning, you will often need to do a quick review when you arrive at the dive center. At least for the PADI Open Water and Rescue course.

Don’t forget to print your eRecord once you are finished or email it to Joe’s Gone Diving in advance, so we can print it out here.
